  1. I love that you included the Division for Early Childhood! This was an organization that I looked into for another course and was really inspired by so much of what they do.
The school I currently work at is a charter school that accepts many children who did not find public school to be successful and have many students who have learning disabilities. I found that this organizations standards and resources section was actually incredibly helpful earlier in the year. They had some practices and articles that I was able to share with my co-teacher and tried with one of our students in 1st grade. I am glad that you brought them up! Thanks for sharing!

I like how they are committed to advocating for policies and practices that assist families and promote children's optimal development. Children with special needs, those who have impairments, developmental delays, are gifted/talented, or are at risk of developing issues in the future.

  3. Thank you so much for sharing the information about the Kennedy Krieger Institute. I had never heard of this program but find it really interesting. When I was in my undergraduate program it was an option I looked into becoming a child life specialist and working with children in hospitals. It is a very special and compassionate person who can do that. Thanks again for sharing.
